Terms, privacy and disclosures
Plain-English version first, then the detail. Read this before you activate Pro.
The short version
- We are software — we are NOT a credit repair company, and we are not a law firm
- Billing starts when you activate Pro — nothing is charged before you can use it
- Cancel anytime; 3-day cancellation with a refund on request
- We make no claims about what any dispute will achieve
- Your letters, documents and medical details never leave your browser
What DisputeDesk is
DisputeDesk is a self-service software tool. It helps you write a dispute letter about information on your credit report, print or copy it, send it yourself, and track the dates that follow.
We are NOT a credit repair company. We are software. We do not act as your agent, we do not talk to the bureaus for you, and we do not provide legal advice, debt settlement or financial counselling. You stay in charge of your own dispute from start to finish.
Letters and templates are general information based on public sources, including the bureaus' own free dispute forms and the free CFPB sample letters. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional about your situation.
Billing
DisputeDesk has a Free plan (3 generated letters per calendar month plus the basic tracker) and a Pro plan at $29 per month.
Billing starts when you activate Pro. There is no charge before that moment, no setup fee, and no fee of any kind before you can use what you paid for. Payment is handled by Stripe through a hosted checkout page, so card details are never entered on this site.
Prices are flat. Your subscription price does not change based on what happens to anything on your credit report.
Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel anytime. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Use the billing portal link in your receipt or reply to that receipt and your plan will be cancelled.
- 3-day cancellation with refund. Ask within 3 days of a charge and we will refund that charge. No forms and no phone call are required.
- After cancellation your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then drops back to Free. Your letters and tracker rows stay in your browser either way.
No results promised
We do not promise any result. We do not state or imply that a dispute will change, delete or update anything on a credit report, and we do not state or imply anything about a credit score.
We are not affiliated with the CFPB, Equifax, Experian or TransUnion. The outcome of a dispute is decided by the credit bureau and the company that reported the information — not by software.
Because we promise nothing, we never charge a fee that depends on an outcome: no percentage of a debt, no fee tied to an item being updated or to a score moving. The price is the flat subscription described above.
Your data — it never leaves the browser
- Everything you type — names, addresses, account references, notes, letters — is written to your own browser's local storage on your device.
- The site makes no network requests of its own: no analytics, no tracking pixels, no font or script downloads, no file uploads.
- There is no account, no login and no server-side database holding your information.
- To remove everything, use the Delete all my data button on the tracker page: it clears every tracked dispute and the monthly letter counter from this browser's local storage. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings. Either way, the local copy is cleared immediately.
- We never receive your letters, your documents or the content of your tracker.
Because nothing is sent to us, there is no list for us to sell, share or lose.
Medical information
The medical module lets you write a letter about a medical collection. Any health or billing detail you enter stays in the same local browser storage as everything else.
No protected health information is stored server-side — there is no server-side storage in this product at all. We do not receive, keep or process your medical records.
Official free resources
You never need to pay anyone to dispute. The credit bureaus run their own free online dispute processes, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau publishes free sample dispute letters — look for consumerfinance.gov and search for the sample letters.
Our letters mention these official channels on purpose. Using them directly is always an option, and we are not affiliated with any of these organisations.
Full disclosure text

Letters and templates are general information based on public sources. We are not affiliated with the CFPB, Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion. Your documents stay in your browser.
The same text appears in the footer of every page on this site.
Changes and acceptance
By activating Pro you accept these terms. If we change them, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date, and the date at the top of this page tells you which version you are reading.
